Optimizing Semi-Airborne Electromagnetic Survey Design for Mineral Exploration

چکیده
As semi-airborne mineral exploration has a limited budget, it is critical to design experimental procedures that generate data maximize desired information. We investigated the effects of transmitter–receiver geometries for variety anomalies and layouts. Our simulations indicated flight line spacing 200 m point distance 100 provides optimal trade-off between coverage survey progress various targets. Based on target size transmitter target, length should be at least equal target. However, where more than 1 km, two or three times size. Of similar importance are location direction cables, which can have significant impact result inversion parallel strike. By using one transmitter, better results obtained. If strike known, transmitters each other, if not, use perpendicular transmitters. The this study showed 3 km. even possible recover targets just below in corresponding areas masked data.

Identification of mineral deposits using airborne electromagnetic spectra
Broadband frequency-domain electromagnetic sensors can be used not only to detect but also to characterize and identify a particular mineral deposit based on its spectral response. The concept is similar to identifying a particular landmine based on its unique spectral response, which is known as Electromagnetic Induction Spectroscopy (EMIS). Recent advances in single-coil, broadband sensors ha...
متن کاملModel Design in the Prospector Consultant System for Mineral Exploration*
Prospector is a computer consultant system intended to aid geologists in evaluating the favorability of an exploration site or region for occurrences of ore deposits of particular types. Knowledge about a particular type of ore deposit is encoded in a computational model representing observable geological features and the relative significance thereof. We describe the form of models in Prospect...
متن کاملSemi-Automated Design Space Exploration for Formal Modelling
Refinement based formal methods allow the modelling of systems through incremental steps via abstraction. Discovering the right levels of abstraction, formulating correct and meaningful invariants, and analysing faulty models are some of the challenges faced when using this technique. Here, we propose Design Space Exploration, an approach that aims to assist a designer by automatically providin...
متن کاملDesign of Control System for the Transmitter of iFTEM Type Time-domain Fixed-wing Airborne Electromagnetic Survey System
To meet the need of a transmitter of domestic iFTEM type time-domain fixed-wing airborne electromagnetic survey system, we design a control system based on PC104 bus for iFTEM system. This system consists of a driving signal generator, synchronization control system, protection control system, voltage, current monitoring and transmitter waveform monitoring. In the design, we use WinDriver to de...
متن کاملOptimizing a Superscalar System using Multi-objective Design Space Exploration
One way to cope with a huge design space formed by several parameters is using methods for Automatic Design Space Exploration (ADSE). Recently we developed a Framework for Automatic Design Space Explorations focused on micro-architectural optimizations. In this article we evaluate the influence of three different evolutionary algorithms on the performance of design space explorations. More prec...
